Job summary

Castlereagh Coal, an Australian family owned resources company, seeks experienced Plant Mechanic roles at Invincible Colliery, Cullen Bullen, about 20km north of Lithgow. The roster options include 4-5-5 or 7 on/7 off, with a flat rate of $70 per hour plus super.

Overtime is required during peak periods, and long service leave is funded from day one. Successful applicants will have a diesel/plant trade qualification, proven heavy equipment experience, and strong diagnostic skills.

Qualifications

• Diesel/Plant Mechanic or Fitter trade qualification (essential).
• Proven experience working on heavy mobile equipment.
• Sound mechanical aptitude with hydraulic and diagnostic skills.
• Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential).
• Strong safety focus and ability to follow maintenance procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working at heights (advantageous but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain diesel-powered mobile plant and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Complete repair documentation and communicate with site supervisors.

About Us

Castlereagh Coal is an Australian family owned and operated resources company. We operate out of Invincible Colliery, Cullen Bullen, approximately 20kms north of Lithgow, running a wide range of Caterpillar and Hitachi equipment.

We have employment opportunities for experienced Plant Mechanic roles in our expanding business.

• Roster: 4-5-5 work schedule (day shift only), Or 7 on 7 off work schedule (day shift only)
• Wages: $70 per hour flat rate plus super on offer.
• Overtime: Overtime required during peak periods or on an as needs basis.
• Long service leave: Paid into LSL fund from day 1.
• Superannuation: 12% of ordinary time earnings paid on payday.
