Job summary

Southern Plant Maintenance in Moss Vale NSW is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel / Plant Mechanic to join our busy workshop and field service team. We service a variety of heavy vehicles, earthmoving equipment, plant and diesel utes across the Southern Highlands.

You will diagnose, repair and service breakdowns, work both in the workshop and in the field, and assist apprentices. A current driver's licence and strong fault-finding skills are essential for independent and collaborative work.

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or Plant Mechanic with attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Able to oversee and support apprentices and work both in the workshop and in the field.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with good communication for customer interactions.
• Current driver's licence and reliable, self-motivated nature.
• Experience across heavy vehicles, earthmoving equipment, hydraulics and diagnostics is highly regarded.

We're a locally owned and operated mechanical business servicing the Southern Highlands and surrounding areas. We work across a wide variety of heavy vehicles, earthmoving equipment, plant and diesel utes – so no two days are quite the same.

Key responsibilities

• Service, repair, diagnose and respond to breakdowns on heavy vehicles and trucks
