Job summary

WesTrac is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support the Casula team, performing onsite maintenance and repair work across Sydney’s metro area. You will diagnose faults, inspect machines, and provide exceptional customer service while ensuring safety and thorough reporting.

The role offers autonomy, diverse daily tasks and exposure to CAT equipment, with a strong focus on professional development within WesTrac Institute and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised Mobile Plant cert III trade qualification.
• Field service or mobile maintenance experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage customer relationships.
• Current unrestricted driver's licence.
• Experience using CAT ET, SIS or similar diagnostic systems.

Job description

Due to ongoing growth and an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our Casula team.

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will provide onsite maintenance, repairs, diagnostics and inspections on Caterpillar equipment across a diverse customer base throughout the Sydney region. This role offers a high level of autonomy, variety and customer interaction while working with some of the most advanced equipment in the industry.

What You'll Do

• Perform field service repairs, servicing and maintenance on CAT equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Complete machine inspections and condition reports.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and technical support onsite.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
