Job summary

Essential Mining Solutions (EMS) in Muswellbrook, NSW, is hiring experienced Plant Mechanics for mine site roles across the Hunter Valley. You will diagnose, service and repair heavy earthmoving and mining equipment, with safety and quality at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy earthmoving or mining equipment.
• Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Current Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics, troubleshooting and fault finding on heavy mining equipment.
• Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy earthmoving machinery.
• Preventative maintenance, breakdowns and major repairs.
• Working independently or as part of a site maintenance crew.
• Maintaining high safety and workmanship standards.
• Supporting civil projects as opportunities arise.

With continued growth and long-term contracts, we're looking for experienced Plant Mechanics to join our expanding team.

Our opportunities are primarily mine site-based, with positions across maintenance crews, field service, breakdowns and rebuilds. Civil work also becomes available from time to time, offering additional variety.

THE ROLE

We're recruiting for multiple Plant Mechanic positions across mine sites in the Hunter Valley and surrounding regions.

Depending on the position, your responsibilities may include:

• Diagnostics, troubleshooting and fault finding.
• Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy earthmoving and mining equipment.
• Preventative maintenance, breakdowns and major repairs.
• Working independently or as part of an experienced site maintenance crew.
• Maintaining high safety and workmanship standards.
• Supporting civil projects as opportunities arise.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're after skilled, reliable and safety-focused Plant Mechanics who take pride in their work.

Essential requirements:

• Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification.
• Experience with heavy earthmoving or mining equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Current Australian driver's licence.
• Current Coal Board Medical or willingness to obtain, where required.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
