Job summary

ADM is seeking a Plant Controller to support our Decatur, IL facilities with strong financial leadership and deep operations engagement. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, cost control and reporting, while partnering with operations, procurement and performance management to improve working capital and financial performance.

In this role you will lead monthly closes, ensure robust controls, and analyze drivers of yield, energy, and manufacturing costs across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• This role requires strong data-driven decision making with financial acumen.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing and inventory control is essential.
• Ability to lead monthly close, forecasting, and variance analysis with operational storytelling.
• Proven collaboration with plant leadership across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee financial operations at the plant level, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Lead monthly close, variance analysis, and drive performance reviews.
• Ensure strong controls and compliance with policies.
• Evaluate product profitability and margin performance with commercial teams.
• Analyze plant costs, variances, and capital project ROI and payback.
• Support purchasing processes and GRNI accuracy; manage inventory governance.
• Develop performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
