Job summary

The Plant Bakery in Brisbane is seeking a hands-on production team member to help make brownies, cakes, slices and other desserts in a fast-paced wholesale plant-based kitchen.

You will work Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, operate commercial equipment, accurately weigh ingredients, lift up to 25 kg, and ensure quality before packing.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' professional experience in cook, chef, baker, pastry or food production
• Experience with large batch recipes and precise weighing of ingredients
• Comfort with physical production tasks including lifting, staying on feet all day
• Good food safety and hygiene practices are essential
• Positive attitude, teamwork and initiative are valued

Responsibilities

• Produce brownies, cakes, slices and other desserts using large batch recipes
• Weigh ingredients accurately to ensure batch consistency
• Operate commercial equipment (mixers, kettles, depositor, Robot Coupe)
• Slice, decorate and finish desserts with care
• Pack, label and box finished products and assist with setup/cleanup
