City of Moreton Bay is seeking a motivated Technical Officer - Planning to join the Development Services team in Caboolture. This hybrid role offers a pathway for those starting their planning career or transitioning from related fields, with exposure to development assessment processes and valuable hands-on experience in local government.

You will support planning activities, work with senior planners, and help deliver quality outcomes for our growing community while enjoying a flexible work

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Confidence working with systems, processes and legislation-based frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the administration and assessment of development applications.
• Review applications to ensure all required information is provided.
• Calculate and process development application fees.
• Coordinate referrals and apply relevant assessment requirements.
• Support infrastructure charging and cost recovery processes.
• Prepare correspondence, reports and technical documentation.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to a positive, customer-focused team culture.
