City of Moreton Bay is seeking a Legal Counsel - Planning and Environment to join our growing in-house legal team in Strathpine. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced planning and environment lawyer to advance their career in Local Government.

The role focuses on planning and environmental regulation, advising on development assessment, infrastructure charging, and related statutory processes, while supporting governance, property and commercial matters.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal advice on planning, development assessment, and environmental regulation.
• Advise on interpretation of planning legislation and local planning instruments.
• Instruct and manage external solicitors and counsel in proceedings before Courts and tribunals.
• Support major urban development and infrastructure projects.
• Develop precedents, governance frameworks and operational guidance materials.
• Monitor legislative reforms affecting planning and local government operations.
