Job summary

MacKellar Group, the mining services contractor for Bravus' Carmichael Mine, is seeking a Reliability & Maintenance Planning Superintendent to lead the site's planning and reliability function, ensuring fleet availability, safe production and peak performance.

Responsibilities

• Leading the Reliability and Maintenance Planning team across the mobile fleet.
• Developing and implementing preventative, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance strategies.
• Managing maintenance planning, scheduling and execution to optimise fleet availability.
• Monitoring equipment performance and analysing reliability trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Preparing and presenting weekly and monthly maintenance performance reports.
• Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and within budget.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet reliability and maintenance performance.
• Collaborating with Operations, Maintenance and Technical teams to achieve site performance objectives.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance documentation and reporting.

MacKellar is the mining services contractor for Bravus' Carmichael Mine, operating one of Queensland's largest mobile mining fleets. We are seeking an experienced Reliability & Maintenance Planning Superintendent to lead our planning and reliability function, ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently and at peak performance.

This is a key leadership role responsible for driving maintenance strategies, improving equipment reliability and leading a high-performing planning team in a large-scale mining environment.

About the Role

You will be responsible for leading the site's Reliability and Maintenance Planning function to maximise equipment availability, improve maintenance efficiency and support safe production outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the Reliability and Maintenance Planning team across the mobile fleet

About You

• An Engineering qualification or Trade qualification in Plant Mechanics, Heavy Diesel or a related discipline
• Demonstrated leadership experience in Maintenance Planning, Reliability or Asset Management within mining or heavy industry
• Strong knowledge of mobile mining equipment maintenance and reliability principles
• Experience with maintenance planning systems and reporting tools
• Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and team leadership
• Current Queensland Driver Licence
• Current Standard 11
• Current G1, G8 and G9 Supervisor competencies
• Current G2 (RIIRIS402) Risk Management competency
