Job summary

Mighty Moe's Pizza and Grill in Colac, VIC is seeking an experienced Chef to lead kitchen operations and maintain high food quality across the menu.

The role involves planning, preparing pizzas and grill items, coordinating daily production, monitoring ingredients and ensuring WHS and food safety compliance.

You will work with management to maintain recipe consistency, portion control and efficient service during peak hours; a Certificate IV or higher in Commercial Cookery is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a busy pizza/grill restaurant is preferred.
• Proven ability to plan, prep and cook pizza and grill items.
• Knowledge of food safety and WHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and cook pizzas, grill meals and other menu items.
• Coordinate daily food production to meet orders during service.
• Monitor quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
• Review menu items and specials with management.
• Develop and maintain recipes and portion specifications.
• Supervise kitchen staff and train junior cooks.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Maintain clean, safe and organized work areas.
