The ideal candidate has proven cookery experience, strong teamwork and attention to detail, and can adapt to high-paced service while delivering high-quality, flavoursome meals.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the hospitality or food service industry.
• Strong teamwork, time management and organisational skills to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques, safety, hygiene regulations and kitchen procedures.
• Attention to detail with a genuine passion for preparing and presenting high-quality, flavoursome dishes.
• Flexibility and adaptability to assist with special events, seasonal menus and varying customer requirements.
• A relevant qualification in commercial cookery or equivalent certification is highly regarded.

Aufgaben

• Inspecting and assessing food items to ensure quality, freshness and consistency
• Monitoring and regulating the temperature of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment to ensure optimal cooking conditions
• Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of dishes, including pizzas and grill items, according to established recipes and standards
• Seasoning and adjusting food during preparation to achieve desired flavours
• Portioning and plating meals attractively, including the addition of sauces, toppings and garnishes
• Storing ingredients and prepared food in temperature-controlled environments to maintain food safety and quality
• Preparing meals to accommodate special dietary needs and customer preferences
• Assisting in menu planning and estimating food and ingredient requirements as needed
• Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering to avoid shortages
• Following all health, safety and cleanliness requirements to maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene
• Providing guidance and on-the-job training to junior kitchen staff and apprentices
