Job summary

WorkPac Group is recruiting a skilled pipe crew labourer for a major civil road upgrade project in Queensland. The role offers long-term work and consistent hours with overtime penalties.

You will install drainage lines, trench and backfill, pour concrete, perform formwork and steel fixing, and use hand and power tools on-site. A white card and heights/confined space tickets are required, with a valid driver’s licence and reliable transport essential to access sites.

About the Client

Our client is a well-established civil construction and engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure and urban development projects. Their capabilities include bulk earthworks, road and transport infrastructure, drainage, water and utilities, rail, aviation and large-scale residential and industrial developments.

Hours:

Monday to Friday | 6:30am starts 8 to 10 hour days

What You Will Be Doing

In this role you will working with the pipe crew on a road upgrade project, your main duties on site will be as followed:

• Installation of drainage lines and laying pipes
• Trenching and backfilling of pipes
• Pouring concrete over structures
• Formwork and steel fixing
• Using both hand and power tools
• Assisting with site preparation and site cleanup

What You Will Need

• Drivers Licence and reliable transport
• Construction white card
• Working at heights and confined space ticket
• Previous pipe laying exp (ideally 9 months or more)
• Physically fit as work will be labour intensive
