Job summary

Smith & Co. is seeking Pipe Welders and Pipe Fitters for large-scale projects near the Port of Brisbane. Starting full-time casual with potential transfer to full-time, these roles offer ongoing work on new processing plants and storage facilities in QLD & NSW.

Key tasks include welding and fitting pipework, fabrication of structural steel, and working to drawings and welding procedures. Candidates must have relevant tickets and pass tests for 6G pipe welds.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering (Boilermaker or Welder) with oil and gas or heavy industry exposure.
• Experience in GTAW, SMAW, FCAW and GMAW welding to code standards.
• Proven ability to interpret drawings and welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Pipe fitting and welding of small and large bore pipework.
• Structural steel fabrication, assembly and installation.
• Work from drawings and welding procedures to specifications.
• Operate safely and as part of a team in a high‑volume project environment.
