Job summary

InfraBuild Recycling Hemmant site is seeking Belt Pickers who will be responsible for picking and sorting scrap metal from the conveyor, and removing contaminants to maintain material quality. You'll monitor conveyor belt speed and notify maintenance or supervisors of any issues, while adhering to safety procedures and keeping yards clean.

This is an Afternoon shift (2pm–10pm, Mon–Fri) at $40.18 per hour, with overtime paid at published rates.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn quickly how to identify different types of metal.
• Experience in scrap recycling, construction or manufacturing is advantageous.
• Willingness to work in a yard environment and follow safety procedures.

Based at our InfraBuild Recycling Hemmant site, we are seeking Belt Pickers who will be responsible for picking and sorting of scrap metal from the conveyor.

What you will be doing:

Pick and sort scrap metals from running conveyor belt

Remove contaminants to maintain the quality of materials

Monitor the conveyor belt speed and functionality

Notify maintenance or supervisors of any mechanical issues

Adhere to workplace safety procedures

Maintain cleanliness in the yard and operational areas

This is an Afternoon shift role - 2pm – 10pm, Monday to Friday - $40.18 per hour (rate inclusive of afternoon shift loading). Overtime paid at overtime rates.
