Job summary

Our Lady of Consolation Aged Care & Services in Rooty Hill NSW is seeking a Physiotherapist to join a multidisciplinary team within a leading aged care organisation. You will collaborate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists and sports scientists to deliver high-quality care and rehabilitation services.

You will contribute to mobility and functional independence through assessing residents, delivering individual and group programs, and applying evidence-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in aged care is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents within the facility.
• Develop and deliver individual and group exercise programs for mobility and strength.
• Implement targeted interventions for residents with chronic conditions.
• Design restorative programs to support recovery and independence.
• Facilitate an innovative restorative respite program to regain mobility.

Our Get Yourself Moving programs support older individuals in Western Sydney, enabling them to maintain independence and improve their quality of life.

Role Overview

As a Physiotherapist, you will collaborate with a skilled team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, and sports scientists to deliver high-quality care and rehabilitation services. Your expertise will contribute to structured programs designed to improve residents’ mobility, functionality, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Working within our state-of-the-art facility, which includes a fully equipped gymnasium and modern treatment rooms, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of new and existing residents within our aged care facility.
• Developing and delivering individual and group exercise programs focused on mobility and strength.
• Implementing targeted interventions for residents with chronic health conditions.
• Designing restorative programs to support functional recovery and independence.
• Facilitating an innovative restorative respite program to assist individuals in regaining mobility before returning home.
• Providing effective pain management strategies tailored to residents’ needs.

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, with demonstrated post-degree experience.
• Current registration with AHPRA.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in innovative aged care programs and rehabilitative strategies.
• Experience in aged care is highly desirable.
