Job summary

Southern Cross Care Queensland is seeking a part-time Physiotherapist to work across two Residential Aged Care Homes in Murgon and Nanango, South Burnett Region. You will deliver resident-centred physiotherapy to promote mobility and quality of life, with telehealth reviews as required.

The role requires AHPRA registration, a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, and a collaborative, evidence-based approach within a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration required.
• Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and decision-making skills.
• Experience in aged care, rehabilitation or community health desirable.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with empathy for older people.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobility, strengthening and falls-prevention assessments and treatments.
• Support face-to-face consultations with telehealth reviews when needed.
• Prescribe and implement physical assessments to enhance mobility.
• Follow up to ensure positive health outcomes and adjust care as needed.
• Coordinate care with GPs and other health professionals.
• Document all care and patient education in the health record.
