Job summary

Southern Cross Care Queensland is inviting applications for a part-time Physiotherapist to support two aged care homes in Allora. You will deliver person-centred physiotherapy to residents, focusing on mobility, independence, pain management and fall prevention in a friendly, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and AHPRA registration as Physiotherapist.
• Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and decision-making skills.
• Experience in aged care, rehabilitation or community health is desirable.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with empathy for older people.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled mobility, strengthening and falls-prevention assessments and treatment.
• Support face-to-face consultations with remote telehealth reviews as needed.
• Prescribe and implement physical assessments to enhance resident mobility.
• Follow up to ensure positive health outcomes and adjust care as needed.
• Coordinate care with GPs and other Allied Health professionals.
• Document care provided in health records and educate patients.
• Support residents in fulfilling choices and preferences.
• Participate in Clinical Governance and Continuous Quality Improvement.
