Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland invites applications for a Physiotherapist in the Blue Care Gympie Community. You will provide holistic, integrated care to enhance mobility and independence across Gympie and surrounds.

This permanent full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate plus super, salary packaging, travel reimbursements and generous leave. Responsibilities include diagnosing, planning care, education for clients and carers, and collaboration with GPs and other health professionals to optimise

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration are essential.
• Experience in Aged Care or Community settings is preferred.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills are required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence with a suitable vehicle is essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and develop care plans for individuals and groups.
• Prescribe and select appropriate adaptive equipment and modifications.
• Educate clients and carers on therapy essentials.
• Set goals and plan discharge or resolution.
• Collaborate with GPs, nurses and occupational therapists to monitor plans.

• Employment Term: Permanent Full Time
• Location: Gympie and Surrounding Regions
• Remuneration: $42.15 to $59.04 p/hr (Based on Experience) + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM’s) + Employee discounts + 5 Weeks Annual Leave

Your part in our Blue Care team

You’ll provide holistic, integrated care to our clients enhancing their mobility and movement to promote their independence and wellbeing. Working with a number of movement conditions associated with musculoskeletal impairments, medical conditions and chronic disease, you will tailor your care to make a real difference in your client's quality of life!

You’ll Have The Opportunity To Develop New Treatment Programs, Helping Clients To Manage Their Movement, Pain, Balance And Manual Handling. This Will Include

• Diagnosing, assessing and developing care plans for individuals and groups
• Prescription and selection of appropriate adaptive equipment and modification
• Education and training on aspects of therapy for the clients and carers
• Goal setting activities, as well discharge and resolution planning
• Liaising with healthcare professionals, such as GPs, nurses and occupational therapists to ensure care plans are formulated and monitored

• Previous experience within an Aged Care or Community setting

• Effective time-management and proven clinical problem-solving skills
• Current Australian Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance as required - Essential
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
• Current CPR and First Aid
• Own reliable vehicle with kilometre reimbursement where a fleet car is not available
