Job summary

BlueCare in Bowen, Proserpine and surrounding areas is seeking a Personal Carer to support clients in the community, helping them maintain independence and improve quality of life through daily activities and visits.

You will provide in-home care like personal hygiene, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transport; you’ll work from Care Plans, visit clients at home, and support social activities, with salary packaging and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification is required.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) is essential.
• Roadworthy & insured vehicle is essential for work.
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.
• Confidence to satisfy probity checks required by legislation or policies.

Responsibilities

• Spending time on the road completing scheduled visits and interacting one-on-one with clients in their homes.
• In-home personal care including showering, hygiene, meal prep, housekeeping, laundry and ironing.
• Providing care in accordance with individualised Care Plans.
• Supporting with community-based recreational and social activities.
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

About The Role

As a Personal Carer you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.
