Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Personal Carer to support clients in Charleville and surrounding areas. This casual role involves driving to client homes, delivering in-home personal care and daily living assistance, and following individual care plans.

You will help with showering, meals, housekeeping and transport to appointments, while promoting wellbeing and social activities within the community.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent is essential.
• Current Australian driver’s licence (Green Provisional minimum) is essential.
• Roadworthy & insured vehicle for work is essential.
• Experience with smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.
• Able to satisfy probity checks required by legislation/policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and support daily living activities.
• Spend time on the road completing scheduled visits to clients’ homes.
• Assist with showering, hygiene, meals, cleaning, laundry and ironing.
• Follow each client’s individual Care Plan and support independence.
• Support social and community activities and accompany clients to appointments.

Remuneration: $36.32 p/hr + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM’s) + Employee discounts

About the role:

• As a Personal Carer you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.
• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities.
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing.
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan.
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities.
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role requirements:

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.
