Job summary

SeniorCare Physiotherapy in Wallsend, Newcastle NSW, is seeking a Physiotherapist to join our well‑appointed residential aged‑care home.

You will manage a varied caseload, delivering evidence‑based physiotherapy, wellness and restorative programs, exercise plans, mobility aids, and seated group sessions.

This full‑time role (40 h/week, Monday–Friday) offers a supportive multidisciplinary team, ongoing professional development, on‑site facilities, and a stable caseload.

Qualifications

• Qualified physiotherapist with AHPRA registration.
• Experience in aged care preferred but new graduates welcome and supported.
• Current police clearance and vaccination status.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and develop individualised care plans.
• Deliver wellness, reablement, and restorative programs.
• Prescribe mobility aids and plan exercises.
• Conduct seated group exercise classes and document clinical notes.

A wonderful opportunity exists for a Physiotherapist to join our team at a well‑appointed and highly regarded residential aged‑care home in Wallsend, Newcastle NSW.

You will manage a varied caseload, helping residents stay active, mobile, and as pain‑free as possible through evidence‑based physiotherapy and restorative programs.

Hours & Days

• Full time – 40 hours per week

• Monday to Friday

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised care plans

• Implement wellness, reablement, and restorative programs

• Deliver exercise plans and falls‑prevention strategies

• Prescribe mobility aids and functional equipment

• Participate in professional development and staff education

• Conduct seated group exercise classes

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Skills & Experience

• Experience in aged care advantageous (new graduates welcome and supported)

• Strong clinical reasoning and decision‑making

• Confident with exercise prescription

• Able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

• Familiar with manual handling equipment

• Computer literate with good documentation skills
