Job summary

SeniorCare Physiotherapy is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join our aged care team at the Wallsend NSW facility. You will manage a varied caseload, delivering evidence-based physiotherapy and restorative programs to keep residents active and mobile.

This full-time role offers a supportive multidisciplinary environment, structured onboarding, and opportunities for ongoing professional development within a modern facility.

Qualifications

• Qualified Physiotherapist with current Australian registration (AHPRA).
• Experience in aged care is advantageous; new graduates welcome and supported.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making; ability to prescribe and progress exercises.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised care plans.
• Implement wellness, reablement, and restorative programs.
• Deliver exercise plans and falls-prevention strategies.
• Prescribe mobility aids and functional equipment.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Conduct seated group exercise classes.

Physiotherapist - Aged Care (Wallsend NSW)

Full Time | Monday-Friday | Modern Facility | Supportive Team

A wonderful opportunity exists for a Physiotherapist to join our team at a well-appointed and highly regarded residential aged-care home in Wallsend, Newcastle NSW.

You will manage a varied caseload, helping residents stay active, mobile, and as pain-free as possible through evidence-based physiotherapy and restorative programs.

• Full time - 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised care plans
• Implement wellness, reablement, and restorative programs
• Deliver exercise plans and falls-prevention strategies
• Prescribe mobility aids and functional equipment
• Participate in professional development and staff education
• Conduct seated group exercise classes
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Skills & Experience

• Experience in aged care advantageous (new graduates welcome and supported)
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making
• Confident with exercise prescription
• Able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Familiar with manual handling equipment
• Computer literate with good documentation skills
