Job summary

UnitingCare Health Pty Ltd. is seeking a Physiotherapist for BlueCare in Kenmore and surrounding areas, delivering holistic care to improve mobility and independence. The role includes developing treatment programs, assessing needs, and tailoring care to each client in an aged care/community setting.

You will work with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure effective care plans, ongoing evaluation, and client education, while meeting compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration.
  • Experience in aged care or community settings is preferred.
  • Strong communication and time-management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, assess and develop care plans for individuals and groups.
  • Prescribe and select adaptive equipment and modifications.
  • Educate clients and carers on therapy aspects.
  • Set goals and plan discharge and resolution.
  • Collaborate with GPs, nurses and therapists to monitor plans.

Physiotherapist | Blue Care | Kenmore Employment Term: Permanent Part Time Location: Kenmore and Surrounding areas Remuneration: $42.15 to $59.04 p/hr + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM’s) + Employee discounts + 5 Weeks Annual Leave Classification: PO2.1 to PO3.3 - determined by demonstrated experience

Your part in our Blue Care team

You'll provide holistic, integrated care to our clients enhancing their mobility and movement to promote their independence and wellbeing. Working with a number of movement conditions associated with musculoskeletal impairments, medical conditions and chronic disease, you will tailor your care to make a real difference in your client's quality of life! You'll have the opportunity to develop new treatment programs, helping clients to manage their movement, pain, balance and manual handling. This will include:

  • Diagnosing, assessing and developing care plans for individuals and groups
  • Prescription and selection of appropriate adaptive equipment and modification
  • Education and training on aspects of therapy for the clients and carers
  • Goal setting activities, as well discharge and resolution planning
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals, such as GPs, nurses and occupational therapists to ensure care plans are formulated and monitored

You'll present with:
  • Tertiary Qualifications and current AHPRA registration
  • Previous experience within an Aged Care or Community setting
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
  • Effective time-management and proven clinical problem-solving skills
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance as required - Essential
  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
  • Current CPR and First Aid
  • Own reliable vehicle with kilometre reimbursement where a fleet car is not available
