Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Personal Carer to provide in-home support to clients in the Bowen, Proserpine and surrounding areas. This permanent part-time role focuses on helping clients maintain independence and a better quality of life, with visits scheduled across the community.

You will assist with daily living activities, transport, and personal care in line with each client’s Care Plan. A Certificate III Aged Care is required,along with a valid Driver’s Licence and access to a suitable vehicle.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential.
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work - Essential.
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.

Responsibilities

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities.
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing.
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan.
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities.
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Personal Carer | BlueCare - Employment Status: Permanent Part Time - Location: Bowen, Proserpine & Surrounding Areas - Remuneration: $36.32p/hr + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM’s) + Employee discounts.

About the Role

As a Personal Carer you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

Requirements

• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.
