Job summary

Victorian Catholic Education Authority Limited is seeking a part-time PE teacher to deliver the curriculum to students from Prep to Grade 6. The role runs 12 hours of face-to-face teaching across three days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) for the Term 1, 2027 period through to 25 June 2027.

The successful candidate will be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or eligible for registration, and hold an Accreditation to teach Religious Education or be willing to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or eligible for registration.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education is required or willing to obtain.
• Demonstrated high-level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and AITSL standards.
• Evidence of creating a safe and positive classroom environment.
• Experience collaborating with colleagues in planning, instruction and assessment.

• Provide commitment to Catholic Education and safety of children.
• Deliver the PE Curriculum to Prep to Grade 6.
• Provide a rich and engaging educational experience for students.
• Deliver curriculum that reaches diverse abilities and backgrounds.

About the Role

The position consists of 12 hours of face to face teaching, working across three days – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – delivering the PE Curriculum to students from Prep to Gr 6.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
• A current or be willing to obtain an Accreditation to teach Religious Education Certificate;
• Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
• Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
• Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.
