Job summary

The Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education DOBCEL invites applications for a Part Time - Fixed Term PE Teacher. The role involves 12 hours of face-to-face teaching across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, delivering the PE Curriculum to Prep to Grade 6 students.

Term 1, 2027 to 25 June 2027. The successful applicant will uphold Catholic identity, hold VIT registration or be eligible, and demonstrate knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and AITSL standards.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or eligibility.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education required or willingness to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and AITSL standards.
• Experience fostering a safe and positive classroom environment.

Part Time - Fixed Term - 0.58 FTE

Commencing Term 1, 2027 until 25 June 2027

About the Role

The position consists of 12 hours of face to face teaching, working across three days – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - delivering the PE Curriculum to students from Prep to Gr 6.

• To provide students with a rich and engaging educational experience;
• Ensure the delivery of curriculum that reaches and engages students with a diverse range of educational abilities and backgrounds;

Key Selection Criteria:

• Understanding and Commitment to Catholic Identity and Mission;
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or be eligible for registration);
• A current or be willing to obtain an Accreditation to teach Religious Education Certificate;
• Demonstrated high- level knowledge of Victorian Curriculum and the AITSL standards with best practice, evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning;
• Evidence of effective strategies for fostering a safe and positive classroom environment;
• Experience collaborating effectively with colleagues in planning, instruction, and assessment.
