Job summary

Queensland Health is seeking a Team Leader to manage phlebotomy, specimen collection and reception services at Redland Hospital. In consultation with the Supervising Scientist, you will ensure procedures meet NATA, ISO and Pathology Queensland standards.

You will lead teams, oversee workflow, liaise with stakeholders, and drive continuous quality improvement within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Well-developed knowledge of Phlebotomy procedures.
• Knowledge of specimen collection procedures.
• Familiarity with pathology information systems AUSLAB and Cerner Millennium.
• Strong teamwork and communication with stakeholders.
• Experience leading teams and sustaining quality systems.

Responsibilities

• To manage, coordinate and assist in providing phlebotomy, specimen collection and specimen reception services to Redland Hospital.
• Ensure compliance with NATA, ISO and Pathology Queensland policies and protocols.
• Lead and supervise staff in line with Queensland Health HR practices.
