Job summary

The GEO Group Australia is seeking Pharmacy Technicians for Metropolitan Remand Centre in Victoria. Roles include assisting with medication preparation, administration and inventory under supervision, with opportunities for part-time or full-time hours.

On-site work only, with a base salary of about $65k plus super, and dedicated professional development benefits. Applications welcome from diverse nursing-related backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Hospital or Health Services Pharmacy Support or equivalent
• Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy Dispensary
• “Assist Clients with Medication” course as part of a Certificate III or IV in Health Care
• Undergraduate degree in Nursing or Pharmacy with medication-related courses

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation for medication administration rounds
• Administer prescribed medication
• Assist in medication inventory management and ordering under supervision
• Work within prison healthcare settings while maintaining professionalism
