Erina Pharmacy—a busy, community-focused, owner-operated pharmacy in Fountain Plaza, Erina—is seeking a capable, warm full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our team. We are seeking a capable, warm and reliable full-time Pharmacy Assistant to join our supportive team. This is an important customer-facing position for someone who enjoys building genuine rapport, remembers regular customers, and takes pride in providing helpful, professional service.
The role will suit an experienced pharmacy assistant looking for stability, variety and an opportunity to grow within a well-established independent pharmacy. Applicants with more than three years of community pharmacy experience will be highly regarded; however, candidates with a minimum of one year’s pharmacy assistant experience and the right attitude are encouraged to apply.
This is a permanent full-time role of approximately 38 hours per week, with an anticipated Tues-day to Saturday roster. Saturday work is required, although alternate-Saturday arrangements may be discussed for the right applicant.
Your primary focus will be providing outstanding back-counter support and customer service, including assisting customers with S3 pharmacy medicines under pharmacist supervision. You will also assist across a broad range of daily pharmacy activities, making this an ideal role for a true all-rounder.
Deliver friendly, confident and professional customer service at the pharmacy counter
Build strong, long-term relationships with regular customers and the local community
Assist with S2 and S3 medicine sales in accordance with pharmacy procedures and pharmacist direction
Assist customers with prescription collection and handout processes
Support NDSS supply and related customer enquiries
Provide efficient support to pharmacists and dispensary staff in a busy environment
Use the FRED pharmacy system for relevant pharmacy-assistant and customer-service tasks
Assist with receiving, unpacking, rotating and maintaining pharmacy stock
Help maintain attractive, well-stocked front-of-shop and counter displays
Respond to customer enquiries in person and by telephone with care and professionalism
Assist with local home deliveries when required, using the pharmacy delivery vehicle
Maintain a clean, organised and professional pharmacy environment
Contribute positively to a collaborative, high-service team culture
To succeed in this role, you will be a personable and proactive pharmacy assistant who can manage a busy pace without compromising care, accuracy or customer experience.
You will ideally have:
A minimum of one year’s experience working as a pharmacy assistant in a community pharmacy
More than three years’ experience, which will be highly regarded
Current S2/S3 certification - essential
Excellent customer-service and communication skills
A genuine ability to build rapport with a broad range of customers, including long-term regulars
Confidence assisting with S3 customer enquiries under pharmacist supervision
Dispensary experience, which will be a significant advantage
Experience using FRED or the ability to learn pharmacy systems quickly
A current Australian driver licence - essential
The ability to work full-time and participate in Saturday work
Strong reliability, initiative, attention to detail and a team-first attitude
The ability to remain calm, efficient and professional during busy periods
