Job summary

Metro North Health in Queensland is seeking a Senior Pharmacist to deliver advanced clinical pharmacy services across diverse specialties and provide leadership and mentoring within Caboolture, Kilcoy and Woodford health services.

You will support complex decision‑making and medicines management, while helping shape the future direction of pharmacy services across the Caboolture Kilcoy Woodford Directorate. This senior role emphasizes expert clinical practice and education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-level clinical pharmacy services, including medicines reconciliation, therapeutic drug monitoring, pharmaceutical care planning and medicines optimisation across multiple specialty areas.
• Apply advanced clinical knowledge and independent professional judgement to support complex clinical decision-making and evidence-based patient care.
• Provide expert clinical advice to multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders and healthcare providers to support safe, effective and patient-centred medicines management.
• Support the education, supervision and professional development of pharmacists, interns and students while promoting contemporary pharmacy practice.
• Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, clinical governance activities, service development projects and strategic planning that enhance pharmacy service delivery.

As a Senior Pharmacist, you will provide high-level clinical pharmacy services across a variety of clinical areas, supporting complex decision-making and medicines management for patients with diverse healthcare needs. You will also play an important role in mentoring developing pharmacists, contributing to service improvement initiatives and helping shape the future direction of pharmacy services across the Caboolture Kilcoy Woodford Directorate.
