Job summary

Petbarn is seeking an experienced Pet Stylist for our Coburg salon, available full-time or part-time. You’ll clip and scissor across all breeds confidently, train others, and grow your earnings through a grooming bonus program.

We offer a clean, modern salon, paid parental leave, and uniform/equipment provided. A Certificate III in Pet Grooming is encouraged and 52-week guaranteed income is provided.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional grooming experience.
• Able to clip and scissor across breeds without supervision.
• Advanced knowledge of grooming techniques, equipment, and coat types.
• Able to manage consultations, quotes, bookings, invoicing, and ordering.

Responsibilities

• Perform 4–6 grooming services per day.
• Support training and development of others.
• Contribute to salon operations and day-to-day tasks.

As an Experienced Pet Stylist, you must be confident clipping and scissoring across all breeds without supervision, while also supporting the training and development of others.

What we’re looking for

At least 1 year of professional grooming experience

The ability to complete all grooming services confidently and without supervision

Advanced knowledge of grooming techniques, equipment, and breed and coat types

Confidence managing consultations, quotes, bookings, invoicing, ordering, and other day-to-day operational tasks

The ability to support salon operations and contribute to effective team management

The ability to complete 4–6 grooming services per day

As part of the recruitment process, you will be asked to complete a two-hour grooming trial.
