Job summary

Rentokil Initial is seeking a hands-on Trainee Pest Control Technician to join our Cairns team. This permanent full-time role (38 hours) runs Monday to Friday with rotating weekend rosters, servicing a portfolio across the Cairns region.

You'll complete comprehensive training in pest protection products and safety procedures, with PPE provided and opportunities for career progression within the company. A pre-employment assessment and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to maintain and grow client relationships.
• Safety-first mindset and the ability to follow strict health & safety procedures.
• Confident using an Android mobile phone and related apps.
• A full Australian Manual Drivers License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, load and unload your service vehicle for scheduled assignments.
• Conduct inspections at commercial and residential sites to identify pest activity and plan treatments.
• Apply pest control solutions and advise customers on prevention and ongoing management.
• Identify hygiene risks and environmental concerns to create safer spaces.
