MHM Contracting in Perth is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our Perth workshop and Metro Field service teams, ensuring safe, professional and efficient operations.

You will manage maintenance schedules, coordinate parts ordering, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and drive a safety-first culture while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Heavy Mechanical Trade - AUS/NZ recognised
• S26 Statutory Supervisor
• Minimum five (5) years post trade experience
• Experience in mining and civil equipment maintenance
• High Risk Work Licence
• Able to pass pre-employment medical and DAS
• Current National Police Clearance
• Previous Leading Hand or Supervisor experience

Responsibilities

• Lead a maintenance team safely and efficiently
• Coordinate daily maintenance schedules and service plans
• Liaise with internal/external stakeholders as the MHM representative
• Ensure timely parts ordering and cost control
• Maintain a safety-first culture and compliance with OHS
• Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities and labour utilisation
• Coordinate mobile equipment repairs and downtime management

Job description

MHM are seeking an experienced Workshop supervisor to join our team located in our Perth workshop, coordinating our Perth workshop and Metro Field service teams.

We are seeking a candidate to assist in the safe, professional and efficient running of the maintenance workshopin Bibra lake.

About the Role:

Safely lead a team of maintenance professionals

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as the MHM representative

Drive efficiency within the team to meet tight deadlines whilst ensuring team members comply with all OHS responsibilities and that a safety-first culture is a consistent behaviour within the team

Provide maintenance solutions and support

Create, update and communicate a weekly maintenance schedule

Ensure accurate, cost effective and timely ordering of parts and consumables

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to machine performance, parts, workmanship and safety

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate service schedules

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to all unplanned down time with honesty and professionalism

Be on top of all maintenance and safety tasks to ensure safe and on time delivery of all works

Be responsible for the day-to-day activities of maintenance personnel and ensure labour is used most effectively

Essentials from You:

Heavy Mechanical Trade - AUS/NZ Recognized

S26 Statutory Supervisor

Previous experience as a Leading Hand or Supervisor

Sound knowledge on a variety of OEM's

Great communication skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Solid technical knowledge and the ability to navigate complex technical issues

Minimum five (5) years post trade experience

Previous experience in mining and civil equipment maintenance

Previous experience in mobile equipment repairs

High Risk Work Licence

Able to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and DAS

Able to provide a current National Police Clearance
