Job summary

Hatch is seeking a highly motivated Lead Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group in Perth, WA. You will lead the I&C engineering scope for mining and infrastructure projects, provide technical direction, mentor the team and ensure safe, compliant delivery across studies and detailed design stages.

This role requires an engineering degree with CPEng status, strong I&C experience in the mining/metals sector, and proven ability to coordinate multi‑discipline teams

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with CPEng status.
• Experience in mining/metals sectors.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and control standards and practices.
• Ability to coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Instrumentation and Control Engineering scope of work.
• Provide leadership and align the project team for outcomes.
• Develop discipline design and engineering deliverables for feasibility and detailed design.
• Input to capital estimates and project schedules.
• Provide input to multi-discipline project teams and interfaces.
• Participate in formal engineering reviews (HAZOPs/CHAZOPs).
