Minor Hotels’ Oaks Perth Hotel is seeking two part-time cooks to join the kitchen team on a fixed-term contract providing maternity leave coverage. The role offers shifts across breakfast and dinner with a rotating roster Monday to Sunday, delivering quality meals and guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have at least 12 months' cooking experience, strong food-safety knowledge, and a collaborative attitude to work well within the team and adapt to a dynamic hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• A positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for food and hospitality.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals.
• Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Ensure excellent presentation of meals before service.
• Maintain proper food storage, safety and hygiene standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with WHS requirements.
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.
