Job summary

Oaks Perth Hotel, part of Minor Hotels, is seeking two Part-Time Cooks to join our kitchen team on a fixed-term contract to provide maternity leave coverage. This is a fantastic opportunity for hospitality professionals to contribute to daily kitchen operations, prepare meals, and deliver quality food and guest experiences.

Rotating roster across breakfast and dinner shifts with immediate start and competitive hourly rates provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months' experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• A positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for food and hospitality.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals.
• Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Ensure excellent presentation of meals before service.
• Maintain proper food storage, safety and hygiene standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.
