Zusammenfassung

Spinal Life Australia is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker to assist clients with spinal cord injuries in their homes in Biloela.

You will provide comprehensive personal care, including transfers, grooming, bathing, and daily living tasks, while supporting independence and wellbeing. A fixed fortnightly roster and weekend/night shifts may be available, with driver’s licence and screening requirements to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Qualifikationen

• Excellent listeners with authentic communication.
• Able to work a fixed fortnightly roster (morning, afternoons, evenings and overnights available).
• Hold a current driver’s licence and have a reliable vehicle.
• Hold, or willing to obtain, NDIS Worker Screening and Blue Cards.
• Experienced in the field, or hold relevant qualifications.

Aufgaben

• Transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs using hoists as required.
• Grooming, bathing, dressing and dental hygiene.
• Personal care, including toileting, bladder and bowel management.
• Basic wound care and self-medication.
• Domestic support (meal preparation, household duties and laundry).
• Community access (driving to appointments and social activities).

About the Role

As a Personal Support Worker, you'll directly assist clients with acquired spinal cord injuries in their homes.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs, using hoists as required
• Grooming, bathing, dressing and dental hygiene
• Personal care, including toileting, bladder and bowel management
• Basic wound care and self medication
• Domestic support (meal preparation, household duties and laundry)
• Community access (driving to appointments and social activities)

About You

We are looking for people who:
