Job summary

Spinal Life Australia is seeking a Personal Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to clients with acquired spinal cord injuries in their homes. Enjoy stable shifts, with extra pay for late hours and weekends, and salary packaging to boost take-home pay.

You will help with transfers, personal care, wound care, meal prep and domestic tasks, working a fixed fortnightly roster and bringing your licence and screening credentials.

Qualifications

• Excellent listening and authentic communication skills.
• Available to work a fixed fortnightly roster (morning, afternoons, evenings and overnights).
• Hold a current driver’s licence and have a reliable vehicle.
• Hold, or willing to obtain, NDIS Worker Screening and Blue Card.
• Experienced in the field, and/or hold relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs (including hoist use).
• Delivering personal care, including toileting, bladder and bowel management.
• Providing basic wound care and assisting with self-medication.
• Offering domestic support such as meal preparation, household tasks and laundry.

About The Role
