Job summary

Southern Cross Care Queensland invites applications for a casual Personal Carer at Karinya Residential Aged Care Home in Nanango. Working under Enrolled & Registered Nurses, you will provide person-centred, high-quality care to residents, including bathing, dressing, toileting and other support as needed.

You will join a supportive team with 14-day rosters, flexible shifts, and opportunities to gain experience across roles within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (desirable).
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work across shifts and adapt to residents' needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred, high-quality care to residents, including bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with daily living activities under direction of Enrolled & Registered Nurses.
• Support flexibility to gain experience across multiple roles within the organisation.

Working under the direction of the Enrolled & Registered Nurses, as a Personal Carer you will be providing person-centred, high-quality care to our residents. You will demonstrate compassion, sensitivity and maturity to provide personal care to our residents, including bathing, dressing, toileting and other support services depending on the individual resident's needs. What will you bring to the role?

• You will hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (desirable)

• You will work well within a team environment and have a friendly approachable manner
• Strong attention to detail and outstanding communication skills
• You must be flexible with your availability of days and shift times
