Job summary

BlueCare is offering a Personal Carer Traineeship in Townsville, combining paid work with a funded Certificate III in Individual Support. You’ll travel to clients’ homes, provide daily living assistance and support independence, while completing the training at no cost through government funding.

Essential requirements include a current Australian driver’s licence, a roadworthy insured vehicle, and comfort with smartphones and laptops.

• Experience with smartphones, tablets and laptops.
• Ability to pass probity checks as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance to clients in the community.
• Complete scheduled visits while supporting independence and quality of life.
• Support with showering, hygiene, meal prep, light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assist with community activities and transport for appointments.

Remuneration:$32.69p/hr + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM’s) + Employee discounts

About the role:

As aPersonal Carer Trainee,you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities

In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing

Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan

Supporting with community based recreational and social activities

Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role requirements:

Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential

Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
