Job summary

BlueCare in Mackay is seeking a Personal Carer Trainee to provide in-community care, improving clients’ independence and quality of life. You’ll visit clients in their homes, assist with daily tasks and follow each person’s care plan.

The program offers fully funded Certificate III while you work, with a paid traineeship and travel reimbursements. This is a permanent part-time role supporting local families.

Qualifications

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum)
• Essential Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work
• Essential Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies

Responsibilities

• Spending time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments

Availability - Mon- Fri, 8am - 5pm (Min 30hrs per week)

Location: Mackay & Surrounding Areas

Remuneration: $32.69 p/hr + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM’s) + Employee discounts

About the Role

As a Personal Carer Trainee, you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.
