Job summary

BlueCare, part of UnitingCare Queensland, is seeking a Personal Carer in Lowood to support residents with daily living and independence.

You’ll provide showering and personal hygiene aid, help at meals, and assist with mobility under a Care Plan, with options for permanent part-time or casual shifts. Certification and probity checks are required, and salary packaging is offered.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent required.
• Experience with smartphones, tablets and laptops.
• Eligible for probity checks and NDIS Worker Screening.

Responsibilities

• Daily living assistance including showering and personal hygiene.
• Follow Care Plan to support independence and quality of life.
• Support with community-based recreational and social activities.

About the role:

As aPersonal Careryou’ll provide care to your clients living in our residential home, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life through activities that include:

• Daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, help at meal times and general mobility
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities

Role requirements:

• Certificate III Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability Support, or an equivalent qualification
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
• NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
