Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Personal Carer for BlueCare in Innisfail and surrounding areas. The role is casual, with duties including in-home personal care, daily living support, meal preparation, and assistance with daily activities.

You will travel between client homes delivering compassionate care under individualised care plans. The position provides remuneration of $36.32 per hour plus casual loading, superannuation, salary packaging benefits, allowances and travel reimbursements,

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent is essential.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) is essential.
• Roadworthy & insured vehicle to use for work is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance.
• Complete scheduled visits, assisting with meals, hygiene, cleaning and laundry.
• Support clients according to their individual care plans and accompany them to activities and appointments.

About The Role

As a Personal Carer you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role Requirements

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
