Job summary

Carinity Brownesholme in Queensland is seeking a compassionate Personal Carer to support residents with daily living and maintain a homely, dignified environment.

The role involves assisting with daily routines, light cleaning, meals, social activities, and reminiscence, working across a 7-day roster on morning and afternoon shifts. Certificate III in Aged/Community Care is required, and current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged/Community Care or equivalent qualifications.
• Willingness to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal care.
• Support home/room cleaning and clothing.
• Provide dining experiences and social interaction.
• Engage in reminiscence and lifestyle activities.

About the role:

Personal Carers work under the direction of theregistered staff to meet the individual care needs of residents inan effective and holistic manner, ensuring a high standard ofliving is maintained in a pleasant, homelike environment with agenuine interest in caring for the elderly, supporting theirdignity and independence.

You will support customers with a variety of activities in theirdaily lifestyle routines including home/room cleaning and clothing,food and dining experiences, social interaction and companionship,lifestyle interests and reminiscence.

This role requires availability across a 7-day roster, workingmorning and afternoon shifts.

What do you need for the role?

• Certificate III in Aged/Community Care and/or appropriatequalifications and experience
• Willingness to work as a team member, relating to amulti-disciplinary team
• Highly developed verbal and written communicationskills
• Previous experience in a similar role is highlyadvantageous
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
