Job summary

Carinity Brownesholme in Queensland is seeking a dedicated Personal Carer to support residents with daily living activities in a compassionate, home-like setting. You will assist with personal care, dining experiences, and social engagement under the direction of registered staff.

This role requires availability across a 7-day roster with morning and afternoon shifts. A Certificate III in Aged/Community Care and an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance are essential, with opportunities for ongoing

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged/Community Care or equivalent.
• Willingness to work as a team member in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities.
• Support home/room cleaning and clothing, food and dining experiences.
• Provide social interaction and companionship, lifestyle activities and reminiscence.

Personal Carers work under the direction of the registered staff to meet the individual care needs of residents in an effective and holistic manner, ensuring a high standard of living is maintained in a pleasant, homelike environment with a genuine interest in caring for the elderly, supporting their dignity and independence.

You will support customers with a variety of activities in their daily lifestyle routines including home/room cleaning and clothing, food and dining experiences, social interaction and companionship, lifestyle interests and reminiscence.

This role requires availability across a 7-day roster, working morning and afternoon shifts.

What do you need for the role?

• Certificate III in Aged/Community Care and/or appropriate qualifications and experience
• Willingness to work as a team member, relating to a multi-disciplinary team
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience in a similar role is highly advantageous
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
