Job summary

Pathways Health Management in Sydney's Northbridge area is seeking a Personal Care Worker to support residents with daily living, dignity, independence and wellbeing. You will perform personal care tasks, assist with mobility and meals, and work closely with registered nurses to implement individual care plans.

You will join a dedicated team in a premium aged care setting that values compassionate, person-centred care, infection control and safety. Flexibility for various shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Ageing/Individual Support.
• Experience in residential aged care is highly desirable.
• NDIS Worker Screening checks and National Police Check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Support mobility, transfers and daily activities.
• Assist with meals, hydration and nutrition.
• Maintain a safe, clean living environment and promote wellbeing.

As a Personal Care Worker, you will play an important role in supporting our residents with their daily living needs while promoting their dignity, independence and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Supporting residents with mobility, transfers and daily activities.
• Assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional requirements.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable living environment.
• Providing compassionate, person-centred care to residents.
• Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and other care team members.
• Following individual care plans, infection control procedures and workplace safety guidelines.

About you

• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or Aged Care.
• Previous experience working in residential aged care is highly desirable.
• A current National Police Check.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check, where applicable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to providing safe, respectful and person-centred care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work morning, afternoon, night and weekend shifts.
• Compliance with applicable vaccination and infection prevention requirements.
