Job summary

Uniting Communities is hiring a warm, compassionate Personal Care Worker to support residents with personal care, meals, and daily activities. The role emphasizes independence, dignity, and wellbeing, with a focus on following care plans and accurate notes. Night shifts are available, with stable rosters and extra hours.

Qualifications

• Friendly demeanour and motivation to help others.
• Experience in Aged Care.
• Ability to write and enter care notes into a computer.
• Understand standards and guidelines of Residential Aged Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, hygiene).
• Assist with meals and drinks.
• Promote wellness to enhance independence and quality of life.
• Follow care plans and document care notes.
• Use mechanical aids accurately.

• Casual and Permanent Part Time opportunities for candidates with availability to work.
• Permanent part time shifts will receive priority with a minimum of 5-6 shifts per fortnight, rosters cannot be changed or hours reduced in the first 6 months, additional shifts can be picked up.
• Base Hourly Rate $37 per hour + Shift Allowances + Salary Sacrifice
• Not For Profit Packaging of up to $15,900 per year pre-tax and additionally a $2,650 Meals and Entertainment card.
• NIGHT shifts available - Stable Roster & Extra Hours

Your New Role

• Providing personal care to residents such as bathing, showering, personal hygiene and grooming
• Assistance with meals and drinks
• Applying practices and promote wellness to help older people improve their independence and quality of life
• Following care plans, observing and recording individual care notes
• Provide accurate use of mechanical aids

About you:

• A friendly demeanour and motivated in helping others
• Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support
• Experience in Aged Care
• Ability to write care notes and entering them into a computer.
• Demonstrated understanding of the standards and guidelines of Residential Aged Care
