Job summary

HenderCare is seeking casual Support Workers to provide in-home care to clients across Adelaide and surrounding areas. You will deliver personal care, meal preparation, and practical support to help clients maintain independence.

Flexible 2-6 hour shifts, training provided, emphasis on empathy, clear communication and reliability. Prior experience in disability or aged care is preferred, with necessary certifications and a valid driver's license.

As the demand for HenderCare services has increased in the community, we are looking for dedicated support workers to join our team to provide support to our clients in their homes in the Angaston area.

About The Role

As a casual Support Worker, you'll cater to diverse clients, addressing their unique needs and fostering a strong sense of community. Embrace flexibility with shifts ranging between 2-6 hours in length. Ideal candidates excel in handling multiple shorter shifts, ensuring consistent opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the lives we support.

About You

We are looking for someone with a caring nature and attributes such as encouragement, attentiveness, adaptability, excellent communication, and strong time management skills. Approaching people empathetically, you will be someone who is understanding and patient towards the needs of others, and passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.

Previous experience in providing personal care and domestic services to people with a disability or within aged care sector is essential to be successful in this role.

You Must Also Hold

• Certificate 3 in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent
• Current Provide First Aid Certificate HLTAID012 (previously HLTAID003)
• Current Provide CPR Certificate HLTAID009 (previously HLTAID001)
• Current Manual Handling Certificate
• Current National Police Check
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current NDIS Workers Check
• Full Drivers License and access to your own car
