Job summary

Bolton Clarke Group in Townsville, QLD, is seeking a Personal Care Worker for a permanent full-time role (38 hours/week). The role focuses on high-quality personal care, mobility support, daily living activities and documentation, with opportunities to progress within nursing or leadership paths.

You will work within a compassionate team, supporting residents to live with independence, dignity and comfort, with shifts including mornings, afternoons, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 12 months of relevant work experience.
• Certificate III in Individual Support & Ageing (or equivalent).
• Experience in aged care highly regarded.
• Valid working rights in Australia.

The Role

As aPersonal Care Workeryou’ll provide assistance to our residents, ensuring they are supported with services and activities that are centred around their wellbeing, independence, interests and choices.

This role is permanent full-time position (38 hours per week)

The key focus of the role will be to:

• To provide high quality, safe, and timely contemporary personal care; assisting with the functions of daily living according to the individual needs of residents.
• Support and care for residents as they age and assisting them to maintain their independence and live with dignity, self-determination and comfort.
• Assist the resident with self-care needs, safe mobility and transfers, and complete documentation.
• Join a caring community with opportunities to progress your career in nursing or leadership.
• Ensuring an effective and consumer focused care and service delivery for all residents.

To be successful, you will have

• 12 months of relevant work experience
• Certificate III in Individual Support & Ageing (or equivalent)
• Experience in Aged Care highly regarded
• Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
• Prior to commencement - complete a National Police Check and or a NDIS Workers Check (or willingness to obtain)

The guaranteed minimum earnings (inclusive of allowances and penalties) will be no less than $71,480 per annum plus superannuation. This could include a combination of shifts including mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
