Job summary

Catholic Healthcare is seeking Personal Care Assistants for Maranatha Lodge in Batehaven with a permanent part-time schedule across mornings, afternoons and nights. You will help residents with daily living, mobility and social activities, while contributing to a caring community dedicated to dignity and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent) required.
• Preference for medication-competency training from Cert III/IV.
• Kind heart and passion for high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care including showering and dressing.
• Support daily activities: meals, mobility, social activities.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and learn what matters to them.
• Work with clinical team to follow care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and coordinate with the team.
• Provide high-quality care to residents, families and the community.

With a range of morning, afternoon and night shifts available across Monday to Sunday, there are opportunities to find a schedule that works for you.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Assisting with personal care such as showering and dressing
• Supporting day-to-day activities including meals, mobility and social activities
• Building meaningful relationships with residents and getting to know what matters to them
• Working alongside our clinical team to ensure care plans are followed
• Maintaining accurate documentation and working collaboratively to support residents’ health and wellbeing
• Providing high-quality care and service to residents, their families and our local community

To be successful in this role you’ll need:

• A Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent)
• Preference will be given to PCAs who have completed medication-competency training as part of their Certificate III or Certificate IV studies
• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to older people
• A warm and respectful approach and confidence interacting with a wide variety of people
• A reliable, positive and supportive team attitude
• An understanding of workplace health and safety
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
